Are you ready to take control of your health? Are you tired of being tired? Having trouble finding the time because of the cute but demanding toddler at your feet? Or the project deadline looming over your head? Balancing your family, a career, and finding the time to make good healthy habits is very difficult! I know! For two and half years I struggled with the life, work, and health balance. But, calling it “the baby weight” becomes a really lame excuse after the first year. So when my adorable toddler turned the big 2, I decided something had to be done. It wasn’t easy but I found a way to juggle it all and manage to get myself back in shape! Now I would like to share with you my tips and tricks for finding a healthy balance.
Who am I?
My name is Ashley. I am a wife and mother to two beautiful children, 1 and 3. I work full time as an occupational therapist helping people get back to being healthy and independent after an illness. Becoming a mom and working full time was a major life transition. It was extremely difficult figuring out how to balance family life while working full time, and still mustering up the energy to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Working with people who have lost their ability to care for themselves because of a stroke, heart disease, or back problems, has given me an awareness of how important it is to live a healthy lifestyle. I not only want to be around for a long time to see what wonderful things my children will accomplish in this world, but I also want to be energized, vibrant, happy, healthy, and well! But boy is it difficult to work 40 hours a week and still find the time to love on your family AND love on yourself!! When my daughter was born I completely neglected myself and my health. I didn’t work out and I ate terribly! A year went by and the baby weight was still there. I had no energy and felt just plain yucky. When my son came along things got worse! My energy was still down and I was starting to feel depressed. After a long day at work finding the energy to spend good, quality time with my family wasn’t there. I was starting to feel like a horrible wife and mother because it was so hard to do anything with my family. I was rushing through dinner and just waiting for my kids 7 oclock bedtime so I could relax. The time with my family was not good quality time because I had no energy and felt lousy! Something had to change! My son was 6 months when I decided to figure out this whole family, work, health balance. I didn’t want to give up my career but I also had to find a way to love on my family AND take care of myself. And that is exactly what I did. Now it is my mission to help busy working moms, like you, find their own balance between family, work, and health.
Who is this for?

Every week I will share a quick tip to help you get healthy, stay energized, and love on your family. All while working a full time job you love.
To make life easier, something all busy, working moms crave, I will also include easy and healthy make ahead meals and time efficient work outs, to help you get back the health and energy you need.
Who is this NOT for?
If you are looking for a quick fix, this is not for you. If you are looking for a specific diet and workout plan, this is not for you. I am not here to tell you how to lose 10 pounds in 10 days. I am here to guide you in finding a family, work, and health balance. I am not promising you will look like you did in college or be able to fit into those jeans you haven’t worn in 10+ years. My goal is to help you develop a lifestyle that promotes health and wellness. You can be healthy and fit wearing a size 12 just as easily as someone who wears a size 2. I know plenty of unhealthy people who wear a size 2. I’m more concerned about how you feel than how you look. So if you are looking for a way to be rail thin and don’t care about your health in the process, I suggest you go somewhere else. This is a place for health and wellth!
Not sure if this is for you? No problem! Continue to the blog and read a few posts to get to know me better!
